Yuto Horigome, who is widely regarded as one of the top international skateboarding talents, has been chosen by Nike and the Nike SB team to work on his own footwear project. The gold medalist from the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021 has added his touch to the Nike SB Dunk Low, and preliminary photographs of the pair have just come to our attention.
Horigome summons a selection of neutral tones to dress his sneakers for this endeavor. The exteriors of the toe boxes, tongues, and quarter panels are left uncolored, and they are surrounded with muted gray Swooshes and overlays made of smooth leather and supply suede. Under the tongue’s Nike SB marking, the skater’s nickname from Japan replaces the typical shoe silhouette’s name, and a cross-feather emblem is stamped to the heel.
